Hello Pune...

Hi guys... Sorry for posting this so late.. But then i just wasn't gettin time to type somethin.. Anyway, here goes...
I arrived in Pune on the 2nd of July, Sunday.. Had to join work the next morning so sacrificed my Sunday travellin.. The journey was crazy especially cause it was raining very heavily the whole night, and the bus driver/s had to go real slow............... Then around 8 kms from Pune..one of the bus tyres got punctured.. Which meant a further delay of half an hour.. Talk of a bad start.. :-( The worse is yet to come.. Read on....
The height was when i reached Pune n got down at Yerwada... Btw, this happens to be the last stop.. Which meant the bus was nearly empty except for an elderly couple in the bus and the moment i alighted i went to get my bags from the bus dicky only to c that two of my bags were missin.. What followed is best not mentioned... I dnt have a clue as to what i had packed in those 2 bags... Thanks to me n my last minute packing!!!
Anyway, the good news is that i did manage to find em in the later half of the day.. Apparently, a passenger had taken my bags by mistake thinking they belonged to her friends.. Talk of helping a friend.. This friend sure put me in a tight spot.. ;-)
Ok.. Before i publish this post lemme tell u'll something about Pune..
Pune stands on the leeward side of the Western Ghats on an altitude of 559m.(1863 ft.). The temperatures are pretty moderate. Though not as unpredictable as the British weather, the city of Pune does have its share of uncertainties in different seasons.
Being on the leeward side of the ghats, Pune has a good three months of rains from July-August to October. Clear skies in the morning are not to be deceived by, as it does rain.. Consider poor me as an eg.. When I leave in the mornings it starts to rain only to stop the minute I enter a rickshaw or the office...Umbrellas for pedestrians and raincoats for drivers are a must, as there lies no escape. While driving, beware of potholes.. yes the roads of Pune are a real eye sore in the monsoons..
Temperatures range from 18-19 degrees to 30 degrees. Nights are very pleasant.. Actually too pleasant.. the cold climate sure makes me feel lazy to get up in the mornings..
I guess you people will get to know the rest abt Pune (from me) as time progresses... M in no hurry to type some more as i shld be here for a year or so..But lemme tell u this place is amazing.. I sure consider Pune a beauty as compared to its neighbour Mumbai.. Beauty n the Beast.. Huh??? I'll leave u guys to ponder on this point.. Till then tc..

Training at d-link

All the [read poor n helpless :-( ] students of my class had to undergo a compulsory internship programme as part of the syllabus... Spent one month in d-link..located in verna, goa..from ist june to 30th june..
For those of you who have not heard about d-link the website is www.dlink.co.in Had great company as my junior Ashita too was der.. Our job was basically designing tests for the managerial level n ones which could be used during the interview n selection round.. it was fun.. We had an off every Saturday n took two very unofficial offs when it was rainin n Ashita had her mock piano exams.. But overall it was a great learning experience as this is the first time we actually designed tests which were custom made for an industry..

Promise..

I promise to post my whereabouts regulary... ;-) k.. all u people who keep askin me what i'm doin.. now will keep u posted..
